Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mnemoria (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Mnemoria application and website (together, the “Service”). For a more technical, product-specific explanation of how data actually flows through Mnemoria, see our Data & Security page, which this policy incorporates by reference.
By using Mnemoria, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Who we are
Mnemoria is currently operated by Tunjay Seyidali as an individual, in the process of establishing a formal business entity. References to “we,” “us,” or “Mnemoria” in this policy refer to the operator of the Service, whoever that is at the relevant time. If Mnemoria's operating entity changes (for example, upon incorporation), this policy will be updated to reflect the new entity, and continuity of the obligations in this policy will be preserved.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: your email address and authentication credentials (or, if you sign in via Google, the information Google provides as part of that sign-in)
- Profile information: your name, age, and profile photo, if you choose to provide them
- Content you send to Mnemoria: every message you write to Mnemoria, and every response it generates
Information generated from your use of the Service:
- Memories: structured information extracted from your conversations (beliefs, emotions, mentioned people, decisions, and similar categories), generated automatically as you use the product
- A generated written portrait describing patterns Mnemoria has identified in your memories, and previous versions of that portrait
- Baseline communication data: aggregate patterns in your typical message length, tone, and topics, used to help Mnemoria recognize meaningful changes in how you're communicating
Information collected automatically:
- Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and general usage timestamps, collected for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention purposes
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers or cookies for advertising purposes
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide the core Service: storing your conversation history, generating responses, extracting and retrieving memories, and generating your portrait
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Service, including rate limiting and abuse prevention
- Communicate with you about your account, including security notices and, if you opt in, product updates
- Improve the Service based on aggregate, non-identifying patterns of use
We do not use your personal content to train any AI model, ours or a third party's. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. How your information is processed by third parties
Mnemoria relies on a small number of third-party service providers to operate:
- Anthropic (Claude API): processes your messages to generate Mnemoria's responses and to extract memories. Governed by Anthropic's commercial API terms, under which your data is not used for model training and is deleted from Anthropic's systems within 7 days. See our Data & Security page for detail.
- Voyage AI: processes memory content to generate semantic embeddings that enable memory search. Not retained beyond generating the embedding.
- Supabase: provides our database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure. Your account data, messages, and memories are stored here, hosted in the EU.
- Render: hosts our backend application server.
- Vercel: hosts our frontend application.
- Resend: used to send transactional emails, such as account confirmation emails.
Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy and security terms, and we've selected each specifically for their data-handling standards. We do not share your personal information with any party beyond what's necessary to provide the Service through these providers.
5. Data retention
We retain your messages, memories, and account information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your associated data, including messages, memories, generated portraits, and profile information, from our systems. This deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed. See Section 8 for how to delete your account.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- The right to access the personal information we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate information
- The right to request deletion of your information
- The right to withdraw consent for processing where consent is the basis for that processing
- The right to data portability
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at mnemoriaproject@gmail.com, or use the account deletion feature directly within the Service.
7. Children's privacy
Mnemoria is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under this age. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
8. Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Account settings within the app. This removes your messages, memories, portraits, and profile information from our database, and deletes your authentication record from our identity provider. This action is immediate and permanent.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, database-level access controls scoping all data access to the authenticated user, and hashed password storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. See our Data & Security page for a full technical account.
10. International data transfers
Our infrastructure is hosted in the EU (Supabase) and, depending on configuration, servers located in the EU or elsewhere for computing (Render, Vercel). If you are located outside these regions, your information will be transferred to and processed in these locations.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the email associated with your account or a prominent notice within the Service before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, contact us at mnemoriaproject@gmail.com.
